Pioneer Song Pictures!

I had so much fun playing the part of Sonya in the BYU-I production of Pioneer Song. This is a picture of four of us being silly and acting like our characters. Can you tell that my character is sick and abused? Poor Sonya. Every night while everyone got their stage make up on and their hair done up all pretty, I got to make bags under my eyes and mess up my hair.

This is me and little Sam. He was made such a cute little dead pioneer child.

Isn't the set beautiful? The mountains in the back grew as the pioneers got closer to Oregon.

Glenn Miller Night

Our fancy Table
We got free tickets to night of dinner, dancing, and jazz. Benjamin offered to record the Sugar Salem High School Jazz Band at their annual event- Glenn Miller Night- in return they let us party for free. The music will soon be accesable to anyone for free online.

The band

The dance floor
The middle school gym transformed.

Benjamin and I both played in this band in our high school days. He played guitar and Bass. I played French horn and Trumpet. Mr. Seare really made our time in his programs fun, exciting, and meaningful. We owe a lot to that kind, loving man. Thanks Mr. Seare!

Benjamin's Concert

I am just going to post a series of movies that I got of my husband's concert. He is the bass player on the outside. It was a wonderful concert. The little camera didn't give it justice. Luckily, Benjamin recorded the Orchestra and has a very good, clear recording of the whole concert.

New World Symphony

Everyone is invited to come hear Benjamin play in the tabernacle community orchestra tonight. It starts at 7:30 and is at the old Rexburg Tabernacle by the library. They are playing Dvorjak's New World Symphony. It is truly a beautiful song. Richard Fergeson will be featured on the violin.
I think Benjamin is so talented!

Benjamin's Jazz Combo

Benjamin is so great on his bass! I have tried so many times to upload a video of his jazz combo playing, but there is always an error. We have finally got the recordings that they made. This song is my favorite one. It is called Poinsianna. It is Benjamin on the bass and his two good friends Kurt (Piano) and Tj (Drums). I think it is amazing how they just know the chord changes and the general structure and they can always play together and imporvise and sound so great! Just click the link below to hear the song. And listen to the whole song because benjamin has some great improv solos through out.
