Mom and Dad, you have made Stella one very happy little girl by getting me a zoo pass for my birthday. This little girl is so happy at the zoo. She really loves the goats in the petting zoo. She gets really excited about touching them, but can’t quite bring herself to pet them. She also really loves all the other kids and she walks around waving to them and showing them her belly.
Stella went nuts over these pretty white foxes. They were running back and forth and Stella was so excited about it.
She also really loves these little statues. Sometimes I wonder if she thinks they are real. She had a little crowd of people watching her play with this Rhino because she was being so cute.
I have learned to strap her in tight in the stroller because she can maneuver around and stand up. Silly girl.
Stella had the time of her life in the manitee/stingray room. This was right up there with the goats.
Making friends:
She loved the aquarium room, too. She kept running up to the glass and then running back to me and saying “Love ya! Love ya!” and then she would run back to the glass. She could stay there all day.
We also found a little fun little Australian and Pacific Islands bird aviary that was completely empty. We stayed for a good 45 minutes just looking at all the cool birds.
Kookaburra:
The Kangaroo Walk Through is one of our favorite spots in the zoo!
I’m pretty sure Stella full on sprinted to catch up to that Kangaroo. She just took off after it and would have given it a big hug if I didn’t pick her up at the last minute. Right as Stella got to the Kangaroo, it took on big jump and cleared the fence on the other side. A few seconds after its friend from the other side jumped right in front of us and cleared the fence, too, to join its friend. It startled us both, but it was pretty amazing!
We love having a zoo pass because we can go for and hour or two and take our time at each place. We just take each exhibit slow and Stella just loves it so much. We don’t feel a need to see the whole zoo and there is still so much to explore, so we keep going back. We will have this pass until we leave Columbus in a year, so expect lots more zoo pictures. Thanks so much for the zoo pass, Mom and Dad!
