Over the River and Through the Woods, to Indiana We Go

Last week we rented a car and drove to Indiana to see Benj’s brother Anthony. He and his wife, Kylie, were visiting her parents, who live there. We got upgraded from a compact car to a really fancy mini van and it was awesome! We didn’t want to give it back at the end of the day. It only took us about 3.5 hours to get there and we spent the day hanging out with Duncan and Kalina, their precious little kids.

Kalina LOVED her uncle Benjy! She crawled right onto his lap and fell fast alseep. With her signature hand down his shirt. A true sign she loves you.

Thanks for hanging out with us! We love you guys!

Santa Clause is Coming to Town!

IMG_2791

For our church party this year Benj dressed up as Santa Clause. I volunteered him and we was sweet to be a good sport about it. He had to stuff a pillow in the costume and his huge dark eyebrows were a little out of place, but I thought he was cute!

About half the kids were terrified, a few were excited, and a few had no idea what was going on.

Even the missionaries got a turn on Santa’s lap.

Merry Christmas!!!!

O Christmas Tree

IMG_2643

I think it should be a tradition to leave up the Christmas tree all year and decorate it differently for each holiday. Little egg ornaments for Easter, pumpkins ornaments for Halloween, etc. It would be so fun. I love having a Christmas tree up. It helps me remember that Christmas is nearing even though there is no snow here in Columbus and today was bright and sunny, although cold.

Hockey

The other night we went to an OSU hockey game at the Schottenstien arena. We went with our friends Christin and John and it was a blast! Those hockey players were amazing!!!!

Our awesome goalie:

Hockey players are vicious! They just SLAM each other into the walls. There were broken sticks, fights on the ice, and flying pucks. It was awesome!

Brutus the Buckeye chillin with the band.

We were so excited because we got put up on the “dance cam” over the big screen. This shot isn’t very good because I have a camera in my face, Benj has a reflection on his glasses, and Christine is dancing so her hand is in front of her face, but we were dancing and boogyin up on the big screen. It was pretty exiting!

They won and everyone in the audience got free fries from Mc Donalds! Go Bucks!

A Day Off

On Veteran's Day, Benjamin and I both had a day off at the same time. That is rare. We were very excited to simply “hang-out” together.

After sleeping as late as we could stand and watching The Office on Hulu, we went to a delicious Indian lunch buffet. We have gone to a lot of Indian buffet’s because they are Benjamin’s favorite. This one was my favorite so far.

Next we ventured out to Sharon Wood’s Metro Park and tried to get some pictures together.

A few turned out, although we had a lot of pictures that looked like this:

I was so cold, it was hard to smile for the camera.

Here are some of the ones that turned out:

I got some new sun glasses and a probe thermometer for Turkey Day. We had fun just wandering around, sitting in luv sac’s, and playing with I pads.

I love days like this.
